The Signs Were There All Along
It took me a long time to figure out what I wanted to do, but I also knew it all along.
As a high empath, I love helping people sort through problems and I always love being a support to friends, colleagues, even total strangers.
But there's always been a natural entertainer in me as well. If I can make you feel good, empowered, and even help cause a smile, I’m in heaven.
I remember as a kid, I used to entertain my parents’ friends with celebrity impersonations ranging from Pee Wee Herman to Hulk Hogan, Prince to Duran Duran. That was the first memory I had of the spark and joy I felt as an entertainer.
Music has always been a constant theme in my life. Admittedly, I didn't have the patience to learn an instrument, although my parents let me try a few. 3 to be exact, all for a grand total of 6 months combined. 🤦🏻
Which is why when I had the opportunity to start DJing with my two best friends in high school, it was perfect.
I've always been that person who can hear a song, know the words, recall it from a couple of notes, and remember the title and artist. And yes, I HAVE tried out for "Beat Shazam" (side note: if you're a music fan and high energy, hit me up and let's go)
There was always a natural fit with DJing as it was an array of my love languages come to life.
From acts of service by making people dance, sing, and smile to quality time by spending time engaging with my crowds, to my own personal love language: making mix tapes/CD's/playlists.
As my career progressed, I always found that I was capable of doing what my job entailed, but it just never felt as fulfilling as I hoped it would. DJing was always on the side as a creative fulfillment, often traveling on the weekends to play shows around the country or doing livestreams for international radio stations.
Once I started sunsetting the DJ shows, I transitioned immediately into public speaking with the same passion.
Helping
Engaging
Caring
The more I got to speak at events, the more I got addicted to it. It was my opportunity to help groups and crowds of people understand how they could be happier and more in control of their lives through emotional intelligence and executive presence.
My speaking career, like my DJ path, continued to grow and become more widespread. But also like my DJ career, I hit a point where I needed to find something unique and differentiated about myself to stand out in a sea of names.
That's when the paths naturally crossed and "Soundtrack for Success" was born.
To be able to infuse music, move a crowd, and tie songs to the lessons of emotional intelligence was a no-brainer. It allowed me to leverage my passion for entertaining, empowering, educating, and engaging in one delivery.
It also allows me to be done at 5pm instead of 5am ☕️
In the first year of creation, it quickly became my top keynote.
From sing alongs to glowsticks, dancing to tearful head nods, I've been able to break open audiences to allow them the safe space to explore who they want to be and break down what's holding them back.
It allows me to tie together the power of emotional intelligence with the familiar power that we all know music has on us. To teach and empower while entertaining.
What I love calling "edutainment"
So, in year two, I've already got bigger plans for this presentation and it's impact.
I am beyond thankful for each and every client that I work with and each and every audience member that trusts in me to lift their spirits, their awareness, their control on their life, and their future success.
This is what I'm meant to do.
This is what I've been working towards for years.
The signs were there all along. ❤️
Get ready for a new level of emotional intelligence and be ready for a one of a kind experience. 🪩
